The One With The Rose & Candle


Date night can be a wonderful occasion if you have time to go to a florist for a rose, have a scented candle in the cupboard and of course, leave yourself time to cook the meal. Date night doesn't have to be this stressful.

Fragrant Sweet Potato Soup
Velvety sweet potato with fragrant ginger and lemongrass finished with creamy coconut milk.

Ingredients: Sweet Potato (55%), Water, Coconut milk, Ginger, Lime Juice, Lemongrass, Rapeseed Oil, Salt, Vegetable Stock (contains celery), Garlic, Red Chilli, Ground Turmeric.

Microwave cook
8 mins.
Slightly open the soup container and microwave on full power 850W for 4 minutes.
Stir and return the lid to the container, heat for a further 4 minutes.

Oven cook
40-45 mins.
Defrost in the fridge overnight.
Pour into a pan and cook over low heat, stirring until hot.

Grass-Fed Beef Ragu with Orecchiette Pasta
Organic grass-fed Rhug Estate beef cooked slow and low in red wine, rosemary and thyme with best quality tomatoes until soft and tender, on top of orecchiette pasta.

Ingredients: Tinned Tomatoes, Organic Grass-Fed Rhug Estate Diced Beef Brisket (23.8%) Pasta (19.83%) [durum wheat semolina, water, contains gluten] Onion, Red Wine (sulphites), Carrots, Celery (celery), Parsley, Basil, Tomato Puree, Rapeseed Oil, Beef stock, Rosemary, Thyme, Salt, Garlic, Demerara Sugar, Bay leaf, Black Pepper.

Microwave cook
8 mins.
Remove the cardboard sleeve, pierce film.
Microwave on full power 850W for 4 minutes, jiggle the dish and heat for another 4 minutes.

Oven cook
45-50 mins.
Pre-heat your oven to 170C fan / 190C electric/gas mark 5.
Remove the cardboard sleeve, pierce film.
Cook for 45-50 minutes.
